Apocalypse of 0.6

Transifex 0.6 (codenamed “Apocalypse”) was recently released, after one month of development.

Being busy with our preparation of transifex.com and our big features aimed at 0.7, we quickly got it out of the door without many fireworks. This release is packed with new features, and we’re pretty excited about some of them, like the support for receiving notifications on file changes and translating tarballs.

Here’s an overview of what’s new in Tx 0.6:

  • Tarball repositories
  • User Notifications
  • Multiple files per language
  • Internationalization support
  • Translation file archives
  • User Interface improvements
    • Untranslated components list
    • More RSS feeds
    • Easy file selection for editing
    • Sortable statistics tables
    • Commit improvements
    • Better whitespace usage
  • Under the hood changes
    • Revamped settings mechanism
    • Improved abstraction for repositories
    • Improved languages support
    • Action logging
    • Standard code directory structure
