Today we are introducing Organizations in Transifex. Organizations make it easy to manage multiple projects belonging to the same group or company.
Here’s a rundown of the changes:
A home for your projects
Each project now belongs to an organization instead of an individual user. And each organization can own an unlimited number of projects as long as the total word count falls within the organization’s plan limits. Additionally, projects can be transferred from one organization to another (see below).
This is all reflected in an updated dashboard that focuses on what you’re working on. Each organization has its own dashboard showing only the projects and activity info belonging to that organization. To switch to the dashboard of another organization you belong in, simply select that organization from the dropdown menu in your dashboard.
Subscriptions are now tied to an organization instead of individual users. You can specify a billing email where all the invoices will be sent. This way, receipts can be sent straight to your accounting folks each month. It’s one less thing for you to worry about.
- Order translations through Transifex.
- Configure the organization’s settings.
- Manage glossaries and translation memory (TM) sharing details. The same glossary or TM can be used across multiple projects belonging to the same organization.
What do you have to do?
Nothing! But if you would like to change your organization name and URL, or designate Organization Administrators, you can do so in the Manage tab of the dashboard. Or if you decide that you want one of your projects to be transferred to another organization, you can do so via the Project Ownership section of that project’s settings.
